Wall Panels
Don’t let bare walls echo mediocrity—absorb sound in style. Acoustic wall panels transform vertical surfaces, seamlessly integrating high-performance noise reduction with refined design. Available in an extensive range of materials like PET felt, wood, or microperforated aluminum, they provide unparalleled aesthetic flexibility for creating comfortable and memorable environments.
Choosing the Right Wall Panel System
Acoustic Target
Every space carries a different sonic priority. Material LogIQ panels can be tuned to these needs by varying thickness, backing, or material type, ensuring acoustic goals align with the experience you’re designing.
Wall Size and Budget
Project scale directly influences both material choice and cost efficiency. Many designers use a hybrid approach, leveraging high-performance metal or felt for general coverage and introducing wood or engraved textures for focal areas, ensuring both acoustic balance and visual hierarchy.
Design Finish
Aesthetics are integral to performance when panels become part of the architecture. Do you need natural wood warmth? Bold colors? Micro-perforated metal for ultra-flat surfaces? The right finish transforms acoustic panels from functional necessity to design signature.
Consider Your Environment
Different sectors demand different durability and performance standards. In schools and public buildings, impact resistance and easy maintenance are paramount — making PET Felt and Wood Wool durable, low-VOC options. Corporate offices need a balance of acoustic privacy, modularity, and visual polish.
Sustainability Requirements
Sustainability is no longer optional — it’s an expectation. Specifying sustainable acoustics ensures your material palette supports both human comfort and environmental stewardship.
Mounting Method & Coordination
Material LogIQ’s engineering support includes shop drawings, CAD/Revit models, and layout assistance, helping ensure every panel fits precisely, performs optimally, and complements the surrounding systems for a cohesive architectural outcome.
Frequently Asked Questions
What materials can I choose from?
What acoustic performance can I expect?
Acoustic performance varies by material and panel thickness. For example, our PET Felt Wall Panels: ½″ thickness panels achieve an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) of approx. 0.40, while thicker 1″ or 2″ panels can reach up to ~0.95. Micro-perforated Aluminum systems (InvisiPerf) can achieve up to NRC 0.80.
Selecting the right material + thickness + mounting method ensures you meet your design’s acoustic goals.
Are the panels fire-rated and suitable for commercial use?
Can I get custom sizes, finishes or colors?
What kinds of installation methods are used and what should I consider?
Installation depends on the material chosen. Some panels are direct-attach to the wall substrate. Others may use Z-clips, frames or engineered mounting systems for larger/more premium panels such as the aluminum systems.
When planning installation, consider wall substrate condition, access for installation, plenum/clearance behind the panel (if acoustic infill is needed), and integration with other systems (lighting, HVAC, etc).
What maintenance is required for the panels?
Maintenance depends on the material:
- PET felt panels: keep free of dust, vacuum gently if needed, avoid abrasive cleaning.
Wood or wood veneer: clean with a soft cloth, avoid excessive moisture or harsh chemicals. - Metal/aluminum panels: wipe with a soft cloth and mild detergent if needed, avoid scratching/pitting the finish.
Always refer to the specific cleaning guide included with your spec sheet.
Are these panels sustainable / eco-friendly?
Yes — sustainability is a strong part of our product design.
For instance, PET Felt Panels incorporate 60% post-consumer recycled content and are GREENGUARD Gold certified. We design systems with low-VOC emissions and deliver documentation for LEED, HPD or Declare declarations where applicable.
We can assist with sustainability documentation for your project.
What is the lead time?
Lead times vary depending on material, size, finish, and project scale.
When reaching out, please provide project details (wall areas, finish preferences, acoustic goals, budget, and installation timeline). We’ll review your vision, provide options, and help navigate the material, finish, and performance trade-offs.
Can I see samples and what is the best way to specify them?
Yes — you can request physical material samples for evaluation (color, texture, finish). We recommend ordering samples early in your design phase to coordinate with other finishes, lighting conditions, and interior aesthetics.
In your specification, reference the exact product system name (e.g., “PET Felt Panel – [model name]”, “InvisiPerf Metal Wall Panel – [model name]”) along with desired size, finish, acoustic rating and mounting method. We can provide spec sheets, details, DWG/Revit families to support your design.
